Course Overview

Building Business Solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate is a 2-day training class designed for people who have already begun working with PowerApps and are ready to move their Power Apps and Power Automate skills to the next level. This class is designed for the "citizen developer" (an individual with subject matter expertise but with little formal IT background) who is developing applications on their own or in coordination with "pro" developers.

Students will learn best practices for building Model-Driven (Dataverse) and canvas apps and flows to update and manage content in Azure SQL, SharePoint Online, Excel workbooks, and OneDrive for Business.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of the Power Apps and Power Automate: Building Business Solutions training course, you will:

• Review Microsoft Power Platform

• Create and manage tables in Dataverse

• Create and manage columns within a table in Dataverse

• Create a relationship between tables in Dataverse

• Work with choices in Dataverse

• Get started with model-driven apps in Power Apps

• Configure forms, charts, and dashboards in model-driven apps

• Get started with Power Automate

• Use Dataverse triggers and actions in Power Automate

• Extend Dataverse with Power Automate

• Learn expressions in Power Automate

Microsoft Certification: Power Platform Fundamentals
Microsoft Certification: Power Platform App Maker Associate

Students should already be familiar with Microsoft Excel, Office 365 and SharePoint Online. It is also recommended that students attend ONLC's Power Apps: Introduction for End Users before taking this more advanced level class or have the equivalent hands-on experience with PowerApps and Power Automate.
